Customer Setup Cheat Sheet

Do it in order. Build the Company fully and add a main-contact Person before the project. Then quotes, PDFs, tax, and terms all inherit on their own. Skip it and you get blank-address PDFs and missing tax.

The Order (data flows downhill β€” build top to bottom)

Company The anchor. Address feeds PDFs; client profile sets tax + terms. Tag V2.
Person(s) The contact. Mark ONE as main contact β€” Scoro puts them on quotes/invoices/orders.
Project Michael's base. 1 project per quote/engagement (VAN-D089). Status lives here.
Quote → Order → Invoice Flow from the project & auto-link. Profile auto-fills tax/terms/price. Quote→project = 1 click.

Tax-Exempt Customers (both required β€” or Vancomm owes the tax)

A tax-exempt customer needs both: (1) a No Tax client profile, AND (2) their exemption certificate uploaded to the Files tab. Without the form on file, Vancomm is liable for the tax in an audit.

Always Remember

The One Rule Company β†’ Person β†’ Project β†’ Quote. Build top-down, in order.
Set the client profile once; tax, terms, and the PDF take care of themselves.
